Ride Along 2 (PG-13)

Kevin Hart and Ice Cube are back as the dynamic police officer duo that love and hate each other at the same time! Now that they will be brothers forever, after Hart marries Ice Cube's sister, its bonding time. Ice Cube needs to find new clues in Miami for a police case he's working on in Atlanta and  his sister convinces him to take Hart. Once they step foot in Miami let the laughter, suspense and foolishness begin. This movie is a great comedy!

13 Hours:The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (Rated-R)

Six former U.S. soldiers are contracted to work in the war torn and newly liberated country Libya. The only problem is, no one in the world, knows they are there. The team is part of a secret CIA operation. The situation gets worse when a U.S. Ambassador makes his temporary home one mile away, with minimal security. Some locals are completely against foreigners being in their country or living on their land. It takes no time for violent battles to begin and six soldiers are left to get dozens of people out alive. The films is gripping, suspenseful and unbelievable but you'll have to believe it because its based on a true story.

Revenant  (Rated-R)

Hugh Glass played by Leonardo DiCaprio is on a fur trading expedition with his son when the crew is attacked by native americans. Glass, his son and the crew fight for their lives, leaving many of their comrades for dead as they barely escape alive. After the escape the desire to survive brings out the best and worst in man when DiCaprio is left for dead. This movie has a slow pace that may bore the impatient movie-goer. However, if you want to experience an intimate journey of a man fighting for his life in unbelievable fights, find patience and enjoy this movie.

Spotlight (Rated-R)

A local newspaper uncovers a child abuse scandal in the Catholic church. The journalists want to print the story but know that if they do their lives and others could be in danger. If the story sounds familiar, thats because it is. The scandal was uncovered by the Boston Globe between 2000 - 2012. As a movie, it has a slow pace that is parallel with the unfolding of a news story for the everyday journalists. The on the record, off the record discussions and the no comment confrontations make this story even more realistic. Overall, the actors are engaging, the production is solid and storytelling is seamless.

 The Forest (PG-13)

A woman knows something is wrong with her sister but she doesn't know where to begin to find her loved one. It seems like an odd season for a thriller movie but those who want a scare to start off the new year, this film might give you a scream or two.
